Penerapan ERP Masih Dikaji, Pemprov DKI Fokus Pengembangan Transjabodetabek

City Government Focuses on Transjabodetabek Development

Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung has said that the plan to implement Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) in Jakarta is still in the stage of in-depth study.

ERP will be implemented if everything goes smoothly, but it's not certain yet

Currently, the Jakarta Government is focused on completing its supporting systems, including the improvement and development of Transjabodetabek.

He stated the discourse on the implementation of ERP had existed since the era of previous governors. However, until now, its implementation has not been realized due to the incomplete supporting systems.

Pramono: Jakarta can Be Among the Top 50 Global Cities

"Hence, I started by completing the supporting system first, which I refer to as Transjabodetabek," he expressed, at Sunter C Pump House, Jalan Danau Sunter Utara, North Jakarta, Monday (5/26).

One of the efforts to complete the ERP supporting system is by launching Transjabodetabek. Thus far, the Jakarta Government has launched three new Transjabodetabek routes, including PIK 2-Blok M, Vida Bekasi-Cawang, and Alam Sutera-Blok M. Meanwhile, four other routes will soon be operational.

"Afterward, we will review whether there will be additional routes or not," he added.

Eventually, once all Transjabodetabek routes were fully developed, the Jakarta Government could provide subsidies for this transportation system.

"ERP will be implemented if everything goes smoothly, but it's not certain yet," he stated.
